First choices for Ballardini

For Davide Ballardini it’s time to choose about which players he’s going to bring with him to Auronzo’s mountains. The rooms booked at the hotel are almost 35 and this figure is due to grow if the club doesn’t unlock the transfer market in the coming days. In fact, the whole roster will meet up on Saturday at Formello training centre and stay there until they leave for Auronzo on 10th July. Ballardini won’t leave anyone in Rome, though. Some real doubts are linked to the Reserves team.

ALESSANDRO TUIA (19 years old)
The next Ale Nesta should join former Roma player and Crotone coach Francesco Moriero at Frosinone next season. Playing at Serie B level would be vital for him, since he would get the chance to play in a tougher league, that is the best thing to do for a youngster who needs to develop some more determination to his yet great skills. He would get more spine and would still live close to Rome.

RICCARDO PERPETUINI (18)
At first glance, everybody thought he was a great player. He showed great personality in Lazio’s third from last game in Palermo. Good game vision and excellent passing made him immediately a promising new talent. As soon as Ledesma leaves, Perpetuini, a former Curva Nord regular (just look for him on Netlog) will be either second or third choice in that position, considering that Elias from Corinthians should be the main candidate and that finally Lucas Correa from Pro Patria will join the squad in the summer training in Auronzo.

LIBOR KOZAK (20)
His future is already decided. The Czech player will go on loan to some team. For his qualities, both physical and technical, he’s the least suitable to stay and collect some caps now and then. He needs to play with continuity if he wants to keep growing.

ETTORE MENDICINO (19)
After the potential goal of his life was disallowed in Liverpool last summer, Lazio number 90 will try to get some more space in the first squad. At the moment, he’s playing with the Under-20 Italian national team at the Mediterranean Games in Pescara. So he’ll join the first team later on. The same is to be said about Bonetto and Baronio who are both back from playoff experience with Livorno and Brescia in Serie B.

DAVIDE FARAONI (17)
The Bracciano-born right back will stay and will be among those 39 players meeting up at Formello next Saturday. If Tuia leaves and he goes, the main reason is about the fact that Lazio have more central defenders than full backs, especially if Genoa find an agreement with De Silvestri.
